The ZONTA Bridge Education Fund was created with the vision to assist individuals on their journey from surviving a crisis to thriving in our community.  Specifically, the Fund provides stipends to survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking and/or addiction who seek to further their education and/or job skills with the ultimate goal of financial independence. Many individuals receive excellent services from local nonprofits specializing in these areas. Successfully “crossing the bridge” from receiving services to reintegrating in the community may often depend on the ability to financially support oneself and one’s children, when applicable. To this end, the Fund provides up to $1000 to individuals chosen for the awards to assist with their expenses while pursuing their education or training. ZONTA Club of Greenville coordinates closely with local nonprofits to identify candidates most likely to benefit from the awards.
